In conversation with Kristel
What drew you to dermal science and clinical aesthetics?
My interest began with curiosity around how skin concerns develop and how they can be treated effectively. Over time, I became increasingly interested in the connection between skin health and overall confidence. Understanding how deeply skin can impact someone emotionally and mentally led me to pursue a deeper understanding of the science behind it.
What does your role involve day to day?
My day-to-day involves consultations, developing personalised treatment plans, and performing a range of clinical treatments including microneedling, laser, and advanced facials. A large part of my role is also education—helping patients understand their skin and how to best support it.
What made you want to join the La Belle team?
I was drawn to La Belle because it offers the ideal balance between a luxury experience and results-driven clinical treatments. It’s a space where patients feel cared for and supported, while still receiving advanced treatments focused on long-term skin improvement.
How would you describe the culture at La Belle?
The culture is supportive, collaborative, and education-focused. There is a strong sense of shared learning within the team, alongside a high level of professionalism. It creates an environment that is both inspiring and very grounded.

How does your focus on personalised skin health show up in your work?
There is never a one-size-fits-all approach. I consider each patient’s skin, lifestyle, habits, and goals to create a tailored treatment plan. I also reassess and adjust over time, as skin is always changing and evolving.
How much does lifestyle factor into your treatment plans?
Lifestyle plays a significant role. Factors such as stress, sleep, diet, and daily habits all influence the skin. These are always taken into account to ensure treatment plans are realistic and sustainable.
How do you approach at-home skincare?
At-home skincare is essential. Clinic treatments are only one part of the journey, the results are supported by consistency at home. I always emphasise the importance of using the right products and ingredients to maintain and enhance in-clinic outcomes.
What treatments do you find most rewarding?
Red vein removal is particularly rewarding due to the immediate and visible results. Many patients are surprised by how quickly improvement can be achieved, especially when they were previously unaware the treatment was available.
Are there any skin concerns you’re especially passionate about?
Pigmentation is a key area of interest for me. It can be complex and multifactorial, which makes it both challenging and rewarding. It’s also an area I personally relate to, which adds to my ongoing interest in it.

What does a first consultation look like with you?
A consultation involves a detailed discussion around skin concerns, history, lifestyle, current routine, and goals. From there, I recommend suitable treatments and develop a personalised plan that aligns with both the patient’s skin and lifestyle.
How do you support patients who feel overwhelmed or unsure where to start?
I keep things simple and take a step-by-step approach. Skin can feel overwhelming, so my focus is always on clarity, reassurance, and education. We work together to build a plan that feels comfortable and achievable.
What feedback do you hear most from patients?
Patients often value the education side of their experience. They appreciate understanding why treatments and products are recommended, rather than feeling like something is being sold to them.
What does a successful outcome look like for you?
A successful outcome is not just visible improvement, but also increased confidence and understanding. It’s when patients feel empowered to maintain their skin health long-term.
What does your personal skincare routine look like?
My routine is simple and focused on post-acne pigmentation, using calming and corrective ingredients to support skin recovery and balance.
Morning: iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum, Illiyoon Ceramide ATO Moisturiser, Mesoestetic Mesoprotech Light Water Veil SPF.
Evening: iS Clinical Cleansing Complex or iS Clinical Warming Honey Cleanser, prescription retinol and iS Clinical Active Serum on alternating nights, followed by moisturiser.
Consistency is key.

Is there a product or treatment you’re loving right now?
I’m currently loving the iS Clinical Active Serum. It has made a noticeable difference to my skin in terms of texture, breakouts, and overall clarity. In-clinic, I’m particularly enjoying chemical peels for pigmentation and exosome microneedling for rejuvenation.
What excites you about the future of the industry?
The ongoing evolution of skin technology and treatment innovation. There is always something new to learn, refine, and integrate into practice.
What do you hope patients take away from their time with you?
I hope they feel informed, supported, and confident in their skin. My goal is for patients to understand their skin well enough to maintain it independently, with or without clinical support.
